Kimama Half Moon is seeking candidates for the position of camp director for a new resident camp located in the Berkshires.  Ideal candidates must have extensive camp leadership experience. This is a year round position, with a requirement to reside on site from beginning of June through the end of August. Kimama, a household name in the Jewish-Israeli world, was established over 18 years ago with more than 10 camps, thousands of participants, ages 6-17, from over 40 countries around the world.  In addition to having fun, Kimamas’ uniqueness lies in empowering a cross-border experience, widening the lens of our campers through new opportunities.  Our mission in all our camps, whether in Israel, the U.S or Europe, is for our campers to feel connected to their Jewish roots by infusing Israeli culture into their daily lives.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
Half Moon Director will be responsible for, but not limited to all aspects of:
-plan and execute an innovative camp program while ensuring that Kimama standards are met
-coordinate the setup, opening and closing of camp
-delegate tasks to team members while providing support and guidance
-recruit, hire, train and supervise camp staff
-review and evaluate staff performance
-set up and implement camp licensing and state guidelines
-ensure safety protocols are met to the highest standards
-year round family engagement and communication
-operational expenses and budgeting

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Prior leadership experience at residential summer camp
Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Requirements:
Must be willing to be fingerprinted and have full federal and state background check performed
Current FirstAid and CPR certifications
Hebrew speaker a plus
